Dr. Salcido always knew from a young age that she loved animals and science, and she became the neighborhood pet sitter for all the neighborhood pets. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Biology at Pomona College in Claremont, California and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Tufts University in Massachusetts. While in veterinary school, she was involved in the Student Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society and performed cancer research during the summers at Stanford University. She practiced veterinary medicine in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern Virginia before settling in San Diego.

 

Dr. Salcido enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but especially surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, emergency/urgent care medicine, and preventative medicine. She has worked in many very busy veterinary practices, but what she loves most is spending quality time with her patients and their owners and building lasting relationships. In her spare time, she enjoys reading novels, camping, traveling, and exploring the San Diego area with her husband and young daughters.
