Santee Dog Parks
With secure and safe fencing and a clean, fun atmosphere, Woodglen Vista Dog Park is a great place to take your pups! We love how spacious this park is, and the trees surrounding the area is very peaceful - a must visit! Woodglen Vista Dog Park also has a large playground and grassy area for the kids, too!

For any sporty visitor, Big Rock Park features basketball courts, tennis courts, and more. If your pup is in need of a free space to run and play, Big Rock Park also offers an off-leash dog area!

3. Mast Park (now open!)

Santee Dog-Friendly Lakes and Trails
Anyone who loves to hike will love Walker Preserve Trail, a dirt trail that’s good for the runner, walker, or even bike-rider! Walker Preserve Trail also offers drinking fountains for humans and their pets, with plenty of pet waste bag stations along the way. Visitors will also love the abundance of picnic tables and rest areas to just sit, rest, and enjoy the great outdoors.

We love a park that goes above and beyond to offer the Santee community a space to get away from the noise of modern-day urban living. Mission Trails Regional Park clocks in at a whopping 7,220 acres of natural and recreational spaces. Whether you need a simple nature walk or want to be more involved with community events, Mission Trails is a great place to visit!

The more experienced hiker will love Cowles Mountain Trail—3 miles long and accessible all year. The Cowles Mountain Trail is open to leashed-up dogs, too, so you can enjoy incredible scenic views alongside your best furry friend. Don’t forget to bring water for Fido, especially on warmer days, as this hike can get pretty steep!
