Susan is a San Diego native and a  lifelong animal lover. She has been active in the San Diego rescue community for nearly 20 years, and has a special place in her heart for giant breed dogs, super senior/hospice pets, all the puggies, and all of our feathered friends.  She fondly refers to her own menagerie of misfit pets as "The Adams Family Zoo".

Working with homeless, senior, and special needs pets has shaped Susan into a genuinely warm and loving caregiver who is eager to help clients navigate through all aspects of pet guardianship, from celebrating the addition of a new pet to gently saying goodbye to your four-legged family member.

Susan is a mom of three adult kids, a grandma to three(plus a sweet grandpug named Noodles), has been married for 27 years, and is a graduate of UCSD. In her time away from the hospital, she loves to cook, craft, and camp in the mountains.

Whether you share a smile, a laugh, a hug, or a tear with Susan, we think you will agree that she makes the CAH feel like home, and makes pets and their people feel like family.
